Tampa developer closes on land for new 13-story condo tower in downtown St. Petersburg

By Ashley Gurbal Kritzer DDA Development said Monday that it has closed on an acre of land at Second Street and Fifth Avenue South in downtown St. Petersburg where it plans to a build a condominium tower named The Salvador.

More than 30 percent of the 74 units — between 20 and 25 — have been presold, a spokeswoman said, though she declined to disclose the exact number of presold condos. A price for the land transaction was not disclosed.

$175M Wyndham Grand Resort Clearwater Beach a ‘legacy project’ for Dr. Kiran Patel

Patel on Wednesday celebrated the groundbreaking of the $175 million resort, which will include 450 rooms in two 15-story towers as well as 24,000 square feet of event space. The resort is slated to be completed in the first quarter of 2017 and could generate 1,900 jobs.

Kiran Patel breaks ground on long-awaited $175M resort on Clearwater Beach

Dr. Kiran Patel broke ground on the 450-room Wyndham Grand Resort in December and will hold a celebration ceremony on Wednesday. The resort, which will be two 15-story towers, will include banquet and event space, multiple restaurants and a spa, said Bill West, director of development for Patel.
