Atlanta developer pursuing $45M second phase of NoHo flats apartments in North Hyde Park

Pollack Shores Real Estate Group is moving forward with the second phase of NoHo Flats, said Anthony Everett, Central Florida director for Pollack Shores, with plans to break ground in April or May. The yet-unnamed community will be built in the three-acre parcel across North Rome Avenue from NoHo Flats, a 311-unit apartment building that was completed in summer 2014.

Sexual assault victim sues apartment complex over lax security

A victim of a sexual assault in an apartment complex near the University of South Florida is suing the apartment’s owners for providing inadequate security.

The woman was a 19-year-old freshman at USF in September 2013 when Charlie Bates terrorized the apartment complex and surrounding area committing four acts of sexual battery against women and tying up four men, the Tampa Tribune said. Tampa ‘West River’ redevelopment kicks off with relocation notices

By Salem Solomon Residents of North Boulevard Homes, a public housing complex in Tampa, have received notices alerting them to expect to move as early as next year.

The complex will be torn down to make way for a redevelopment project that the Tampa Housing Authority calls the creation of the “West River” area, the Tampa Bay Times said.
