Sexual assault victim sues apartment complex over lax security
A victim of a sexual assault in an apartment complex near the University of South Florida is suing the apartment’s owners for providing inadequate security.
The woman was a 19-year-old freshman at USF in September 2013 when Charlie Bates terrorized the apartment complex and surrounding area committing four acts of sexual battery against women and tying up four men, the Tampa Tribune said.
